Marketing Challengers is a nationwide marketing competition which has run for 7 years. This year, Marketing Challengers Season 8 has officially returned to provide a more exciting playground for students to grow and learn.
With the re-establishment of the contest’ tagline, “Where Tiny Sparks burst into Flames”, Marketing Challengers has brought together the mission of transforming “ideas” into burning flames.
Moreover, by putting more concentrate on marketing about mutual values for both societies and businesses, the main theme for this year competition has shifted into: “Good marketers help brand, great marketers help life”. Through such vision, Marketing Challengers 2016 aims to assist the next generation of Marketers in Vietnam in approaching the new trend that well-known brands are heading toward.
With these changes, Marketing Challengers 2016 hopes to bring a more beneficial and practical playground for students who share great passion for the Marketing world.

- Marketing Challengers is open for Undergraduates or Fresh Graduates (people who graduate right in 2018) ONLY.
- Contestant can register for the competition as a team composed of 3 to 4 members.
- Participants who proceeded to the finale of Marketing Challengers previous years cannot participate in Marketing Challengers Season 9.
- The Organizing Team reserves the right to prohibit entry or exclude from the competition teams who we believe to be abusing the rules and regulation listed above at least 24 hours before announcing this decision.

Marketing Challengers 2016 starts from 18/10/2016 and ends on 17/12/2016.
Candidates will be provided information about Coca-Cola and its brand Nutriboost, one of the top brands in made-from-milk beverage industry.
The client brief from Coca-Cola provides general information about Minute Maid Nutriboost. Each team is required to submit a creative brief which includes these elements: target audience, insight, key message and big idea that are related to CSV. Relevant research and analysis such as surveys, interviews, etc. are encouraged to support the research.
Based on the Big Idea submitted in ROUND 1, each team will prepare an Integrated Marketing Communication Plan (IMC Plan) for Nutriboost within 3 months (January 2017 to March 2017) along with an appropriate budget plan. The integrated media plan must be both creative and feasible while at the same time align with the image and positioning of Nutriboost.

A Detailed plan of each stage of the campaign ( how it works, tools, etc.)
Detailed calendar of each stage
Set Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for each promotional mix tool
Teams must summarize their works done from ROUND 1 in the Appendix (e.i. Target Customers, Key Message or Big Idea, etc.).

Before the PITCHING DAY
The team will need to send the presentation to the organizers in PDF form before 17:00 29/11/2016 via email.
There is no limit to the number of slides in a group presentation, but groups must use Marketing Challenger’s Powerpoint template.
All teams must register for a presentation slot through the link provided (All members must show up 30 minutes prior to their chosen slots)
On the day of the presentation
On 30/11/2016, all teams must present in English and based on the powerpoint submitted to the organizers
Each team has a maximum of 30 minutes: 20 minutes for presenting and 10 minutes for Q&A session with the judges.
The best 3 teams will proceed into the final round.
Each team choose one promotional mix tool in their IMC plan to incorporate with production house to produce a prototype representing such tool. Beside that, an advisor is available for consultation to improve the IMC plans of the 3 teams.
Marketing Challengers 2016’s Organizers will contact a professional production team to assist contestants in the executing process.
Based on the result of ROUND 3A, the finale will consist of 3 parts:
Presentation: Each team will have 15 minutes to present the reasons for choosing the tools of the group and their improved IMC plan.
Debate: There will be 10 minutes for other groups to ask questions and comment on the ideas of the groups presenting.
Answer the question: The judges will of the minutes to comment on the group's post and give the team an opportunity to clarify their ideas more clearly.
Marketing Challengers 2016 will open for registration from 18/10/2016 to 3/11/2016.
